Electrifying Edinburgh

From the 30th January 2023, vehicle locations may vary as electric vehicle charging posts are installed.

Working in partnership with the City of Edinburgh Council, we are very pleased to announce that the city’s car club fleet will soon include 70+ electric vehicles (EVs). Before these vehicles can be made available, EV charging posts are first being installed at the Enterprise Car Club parking bays. This may cause some minor short-term disruption, as vehicles may be temporarily parked elsewhere nearby, or in alternative more-formalised parking bays. We ask therefore that members pay particular attention to the vehicle notes included in the booking confirmation emails. The locations impacted will change on a rolling basis over the next few months. We thank you in advance for your patience.

Once the new electric vehicle charging posts are installed, and fully connected to power, we will begin replacing vehicles with electric models. These will automatically appear on the mobile app when in place clearly labeled as EV in green. Details within the booking confirmation email, as well as in-vehicle guides, will help you familiarize yourself with the vehicle.

We are very excited about what benefits this electrification will bring not just to members, but in further enhancing the impact Enterprise Car Club has on improving air quality and congestion in Edinburgh.
