Energy Saving Trust is helping households, businesses with 10 or fewer full-time employees and sole traders within a 20km radius of the planned low emission zones in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen. The Low Emission Zone Support Fund will financially support eligible households on specific means-tested benefits, as well as businesses with 10 or fewer full-time employees and sole traders, with a grant to move away from older petrol and diesel vehicles. Though the Low Emission Zone Support Fund a maximum of £2,000 is available to eligible households who take their non-compliant vehicle to a Scottish authorised treatment facility authorised treatment facility to be scrapped. The applicant must live close to a proposed Scottish low emission zone and must be in receipt of specific means-tested benefits. Once you receive your grant from the Low Emission Zone Support Fund, you and another member of your household can apply for a further £500 each (up to a maximum of £1,000) towards Travel Better options. These moneies can be used on a variety of travel options, including membership and driving credits with Enterprise Car Club, who operate extensively across Scotland. To join the Car Club please click below, choose your nearest town/city and complete an enrolment form. Once enrolled please call the Clubhouse to have your driving credits added to your account.

The business must meet the definition of a micro business, and both micro businesses and sole traders must operate the vehicle close to a proposed low emission zone.
